About the Story

Wind in the Willows, The Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Kenneth Grahame published his most famous work The Wind in the Willows in 1908. The novel became a classic in children’s literature and features the comical exploits of Mr. Toad, Mole, Badger, and Ratty. Grahame’s nightly bedtime stories for his only child, Alastair, were the basis for the book and Alastair served as the inspiration for the character of Mr. Toad.
